Hackathon #1 was Cortensor's first public builder program for decentralized inference apps. It followed internal end-to-end testing and invited builders to create working proof-of-concept apps or bots.

Objective

Builders were asked to create proof-of-concept apps that emphasized:

  • real-world usability;
  • creative decentralized-AI tooling;
  • visible use of the Cortensor inference network.

8th-10th $50 equivalent each

Prize-winning participants without qualifying node-operation, $COR holding, or staking participation could have rewards split between Staking Pool #1 and liquid $COR.

Idea Description
AI Oracle / Truth Machine Web2/Web3 truth-as-a-service using multiple miner responses and verification.
Cortensor Community Bot Community chatbot powered by Cortensor inference.
Basic AI Agent Simple function-calling agent for small useful tasks.
Price and Sentiment Bot Web scraping plus LLM summaries and sentiment analysis.

Evaluation

Submissions needed to be working applications demonstrated publicly during the hackathon. Evaluation considered functionality, stability, originality, Cortensor integration, real usability, and demo quality.

Legacy Value

Hackathon #1 established the first public builder template: build a real app, show the integration, document how it works, and demo it to the community.
