Hackathon #2¶
Last updated: 2026-06-28
Hackathon #2 expanded the first public program into agentic applications, public goods, developer tooling, and app discovery surfaces.
Program Summary¶
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Theme | Advancing agentic applications on Cortensor. |
| Duration | About 6 weeks. |
| Kick-off | September 21, 2025. |
| Submission deadline | November 2, 2025. |
| Main output | Apps, bots, developer tools, public goods, and app catalogs. |
Objective¶
Participants built proof-of-concept applications, bots, or developer tools using Cortensor's decentralized inference protocol.
Focus Areas¶
| Area | Example output |
|---|---|
| Agentic assistants | Research assistants, DevOps agents, on-chain agents, workflow coordinators. |
| App stores and catalogs | Searchable app directories, demo hubs, leaderboards, one-click demos. |
| Developer tooling and SDKs | Python/JS/TS/Rust wrappers, CLIs, templates, testing tools. |
| Collaborative knowledge tools | Decentralized wikis, memory services, public datasets with Q&A endpoints. |
| Infra observability | Traffic, session, latency, reputation, and model-usage dashboards. |
Prize Pool¶
| Placement | Prize |
|---|---|
| 1st | $800 equivalent |
| 2nd | $500 equivalent |
| 3rd | $300 equivalent |
| 4th-5th | $200 equivalent each |
| 6th-7th | $150 equivalent each |
| 8th-10th | $100 equivalent each |
| 11th-20th | $50 equivalent each |
Prize payout alignment followed the same staking/holding/operator logic introduced in Hackathon #1.
Evaluation¶
Projects needed to be working, publicly demonstrated, and more than generated code. Evaluation prioritized stability, originality, Cortensor integration, usefulness, and community demo quality.
Legacy Value¶
Hackathon #2 moved the builder track from simple inference apps toward agents, app discovery, tooling, and infrastructure visibility.
